150th Anniversary
In thankfulness to the Lord for what He has done for us over so many years, we celebrated the 150th anniversary since the formation of the church at Bethel on 18th June 1876. Three services were taken by Dr. Tim Ramsbottom during the Sunday 14th June, including an address to the children and young people in the afternoon. This was then followed by a prayer meeting on the Monday evening lead by Mr. Tim Kingham.
Bethel Pastorate
With much thankfulness we are pleased to announce that Mr Graham Cottingham, a member of the church worshipping at Ebenezer Chapel, Heathfield, East Sussex, has accepted an invitation to be our Pastor. If the Lord will, he will commence his labours amongst us on 1st January 2027.
New Ministers
At a special church meeting on 16th February 2026, Mr Daniel Sayers was sent forth by the church at Bethel to preach the good tidings of the gospel wherever the Lord shall lead him.
Likewise, at a special church meeting on 26th May 2026, Mr Noah Barker was also sent forth by the church at Bethel to preach the good tidings of the gospel wherever the Lord shall lead him.
It is a great favour to know the Lord has been working in our midst in this way. We pray the Lord will be with them both and along with Mr. Tim Kingham, bless each of their labours abundantly amongst the churches.
Forthcoming Weddings
If the Lord will, the wedding of Miss Chloe Baker and Mr Noah Barker will take place at Bethel chapel, Luton on 31st July 2026 at 11:30. The wedding service will be officiated by Dr Tim Ramsbottom.
If the Lord will, the wedding of Miss Sophia Parish and Mr Simeon Pack will take place at Bethel chapel, Luton on 12th August 2026 at 12:00. The wedding service will be officiated by Mr Tim Parish.
If the Lord will, the wedding of Miss Sarah Cooper and Mr Stephen Kingham will take place at Uffington Strict Baptist Chapel on 2nd October 2026 at 11:00. The wedding service will be officiated by Mr Tim Kingham.
We wish all couples the Lord’s blessing on the day and that He may sanctify the occasions with His gracious presence and approbation.
